Nespresso Limited Edition Infiniment Fruité

This Nespresso Limited Edition Infiniment Fruité was part of the festive Pierre Hermé collaboration in 2022.

The coffee had a base espresso blend of South American Arabicas flavoured with raspberry. It didn’t have the usual intensity rating and came in a burgundy-coloured capsule with a scattered gold leaf motif.

The espresso was an opaque brown-black with a fruity berry undertone to the roasted coffee notes. Prepared black with a 1:1 ratio of espresso and water, the coffee had a light mouthfeel with a fruity acidity beginning at the head of each sip that developed with distinct raspberry notes into the body where it was well balanced by a moderate bitterness that lingered pleasantly into the finish. The fruitiness of this coffee was distinctly raspberry, much like freeze-dried raspberries and not at all like under-extracted coffee, yet subtle with a gently roasted cereal quality in the background. Prepared with a spot of milk, the coffee took on a creamier, heavier mouthfeel that subdued the background cereal notes and amplified the berry acidity of the raspberry. Overall, this capsule was an enjoyable twist for the festive season.

This Nespresso Limited Edition Infiniment Fruité contained 10 x 4.9 g capsules. It was produced in Switzerland and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2022.
