The wedges were vacuum-cooked in oil at a low heat to ‘preserve the…potato goodness and delicious flavour’.
Each wedge was similar in size to a thick-cut potato chip and covered in an orange-red seasoning, giving it a rustic appearance and a fragrant garlic aroma. Upon tasting, the wedges were audibly crunchy throughout as a result of the vacuum-cooking process that also left without much trace of oiliness. The smoked garlic was bold and lingered long on the palate, while the taste of chilli developed to an enjoyable spiciness after a few wedges. Overall, these were enjoyable wedges with an addictive texture, but we’d likely try the original flavour next time for a richer potato flavour.
