This is the Yamazaki Biscuits Chip Star Consomme.

The potato chips were oval-shaped, measuring about 6 x 5 cm at their widest. They were coated with a fine seasoning, exuding an enticing savoury aroma. Upon tasting, the chips offered a satisfying crisp crunch, and the consomme flavour delivered a rich umami experience with distinct meaty beef and tomato notes that lingered throughout the chip. The underlying potato base provided a subtle backdrop. While consomme flavour is often likened to BBQ in some Western contexts, this rendition showcased a more refined profile, devoid of excessive sweetness and reliance on garlic and chicken stock. Overall, these chips provided a thoroughly enjoyable snacking experience and would be a purchase we’d happily make again.
