This is the Osulloc Wedding Green Tea.
It’s a tea bag looseleaf of green tea with rose and marigold.
Steeping a single 1.5 g tea bag in 150 mL of 70ºC water for 90 seconds, the resulting infusion was a yellow-green orange colour with a sweet floral, muscat aroma. Served hot, those same sweet muscat notes made a fleeting appearance at the outset of each sip, swiftly followed by a gentle grassy umami from the green tea. A hint of bitterness and a notable astringency accompanied the green tea, persisting into the finish where the floral, sweet muscat notes made a return, lingering briefly in the aftertaste. The surprising vibrancy of the muscat flavour, aided by the rose and marigold, caught us off guard, particularly as it lacked the typical heady sweetness associated with rose. This lively and elegant transformation of the rose element made the tea worthy of repurchasing.
