This is the Iced Matcha Latte ($6.00, +$0.50 for iced) from Edition Roasters. It used matcha powder from Uji, Kyōto.
The beverage had an opaque green hue and emitted a sweet grassy aroma. Sipped chilled, the matcha offered a fresh vegetal taste, balanced well with sweetness, and developed with a subtle umami before a gentle bitterness lingered in the finish. The generous amount of finely ground matcha powder and dairy base gave the drink a rich, creamy texture with minimal grittiness and no overpowering dairy taste. Alongside their exceptional iced hōjicha latte, this matcha latte stood out as one of Sydney’s finest.
This Iced Hōjicha Latte was purchased from Edition Roasters at 60 Darling Dr, Haymarket NSW 2000 in March 2024.
