Marusan Hitotsu Ue no Tōnyū White Peach

This is the Marusan Hitotsu Ue no Tōnyū White Peach. It contained up to 10% juice from white peaches grown in Japan and 3% soybean solids.

The beverage had an opaque off-white hue. When consumed chilled, the white peach flavour was immediately noticeable, delivering the initial sweetness of white peaches, followed by a refreshing sourness mid-sip, and finishing with rich aromatic notes of the fruit. The drink offered a smooth and clear taste, with a subtle astringency in the finish but leaving no aftertaste. The overall peach flavour was juicy and rich, effectively masking almost all the beany notes of the soybean base. This was in contrast to the Kikkoman Soy Milk Drink White Peach, which contained an additional 1% soybean solids, resulting in a notable soybean presence in the finish. Although the smoother drinking experience of the Marusan-ai version made it slightly more preferable, the white peach flavour from both brands was similarly refreshing, rich, and authentic, making them both worth repurchasing.

This Marusan Hitotsu Ue no Tōnyū White Peach contained 200 mL. It was produced in Japan and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2024.
