The beverage had an opaque brown hue with a fruity chocolate aroma reminiscent of the saccharine Strawberry Crème and Turkish Delight in a Cadbury Roses box. However, upon tasting, fresh strawberry notes emerged at the start of each sip, followed by a rich and creamy chocolate flavour. Mid-sip, the ripe strawberry notes returned with a gentle tartness, similar to fresh strawberry compote. Towards the finish, the sweetness receded, revealing a pleasant hint of bitterness from the deep roasted espresso, akin to dark chocolate, which lingered in the aftertaste without any unpleasant dairy notes. Despite its initial perfumed aroma, the strawberry café mocha offered a surprisingly fresh strawberry flavour that paired well with the mocha elements, even without any added fruit juice.
