Marusan Hitotsu Ue no Tōnyū Japanese Chestnut

This is the Marusan Hitotsu Ue no Tōnyū Japanese Chestnut, containing 4% soybean solids made from domestically grown premium soybeans, ruri sayaka, and domestically produced chestnut powder.

The beverage had a beige hue and an elegantly sweet, nutty aroma. When consumed chilled, the chestnut flavour was immediately apparent, delivering the distinct taste of roasted chestnuts without the typical candied sweetness. The nuttiness of the chestnuts harmonised seamlessly with the natural nuttiness of the soy milk, preserving the smooth and creamy texture of the soy milk base. The use of premium soybeans effectively masked the greenness and astringency often associated with regular soybeans, resulting in a clean and refined finish. The warm, subtle sweetness and sophisticated aroma of the Japanese chestnuts made this flavoured soy milk a standout and one worthy of repeated repurchase.

This Marusan Hitotsu Ue no Tōnyū Japanese Chestnut contained 200 mL. It was produced in Japan and purchased in Sendai, Japan in 2024.
