This is the Phoenix Aroma Lemon Tea (fixed ice, 30% sugar) from Milk Flower. The drink featured lemon slices hand-crushed with ice cubes, topped with lemon juice and Phoenix oolong.
The beverage had a translucent brown hue, with lemon slices suspended mid-cup beneath the crushed ice. Consumed chilled, it delivered the vibrant tartness of fresh lemon and lemon juice, balanced by the bold presence of the oolong tea. The oolong contributed a strong fruity and floral flavour, reminiscent of dried mango, with minimal astringency or bitterness.
At 30% sugar, the sourness was slightly overwhelming. Adding a single artificial sweetener tablet (equivalent to 1 teaspoon of sugar) effectively balanced the acidity. Ordering with 70% sugar would likely achieve the same result.
Overall, this tea was a refreshing take on phoenix aroma lemon tea, though we preferred the more intense flavour offered by the version from Order Lemon.
