This is the Osmanthus Longjing Milk Tea ($7.50, less sugar, less ice) from Molly Tea, featuring a Longjing green tea base scented with osmanthus blossoms.
Consumed chilled, the Longjing green tea presented a sweet, mellow, and rounded profile characteristic of Chinese pan-fried green teas. The milk component introduced a buttery quality with a hint of caramelised sweetness, reminiscent of roasted chestnut. The osmanthus emerged in the finish, offering a delicate floral, apricot-like note that lingered pleasantly. However, the osmanthus flavour was notably more subtle than in their jasmine teas, and a bolder presence would have been welcome.
