This is the Marumi Kajitsu no Oishii Samarugoto Fruity & Soft Rambutan, featuring semi-dried rambutan from Thailand with added fragrance.

Each piece measured approximately 3 × 2 × 1 cm, with a beige-yellow hue. It was dry to the touch and had a sweet, floral tropical aroma reminiscent of lychee.

On tasting, the dry exterior yielded easily to the firm interior, biting through cleanly. A vibrant rambutan flavour emerged immediately, carrying its signature floral and tropical undertones. The intensity of the flavour deepened with each chew as the fruit’s natural fibrosity, similar to that of a grape, prolonged the chew time. The overall profile was akin to a cross between a lychee and a green grape, with the floral sweetness preventing it from becoming cloying, making for a refreshing and enjoyable eating experience.
This Marumi Kajitsu no Oishii Samarugoto Fruity & Soft Rambutan contained 71 g. It was produced in Japan and purchased in Sendai, Japan in 2024.
