This is the Kanro Puré Gumi Minori no Wanashi, a seasonal flavour released for Autumn 2024, featuring concentrated juice from domestically grown nashi pears.

Each piece was a soft yellow colour, coated in a layer of sour crystals, and carried the characteristic juicy aroma of nashi. Most pieces were heart-shaped, measuring approximately 3 × 2.5 × 0.5 cm, though this bag included one of the rare surprise shapes—a squirrel. On tasting, the outer sour crystals provided a gentle, persistent crunch that carried through each chew. The gummy itself was firm but softened gradually into a thick, purée-like consistency rather than the bouncier elasticity of a gelatin-based gummy.
Flavour-wise, the experience began with a tangy acidity from the crystals, quickly giving way to the mellow, juicy sweetness of ripe nashi. The pear flavour emerged distinctly mid-chew, with its signature gentle sweetness and high water content captured well, building into a rounded richness as the acidity faded in the finish. The flavour development mirrored the eating experience of biting into a fresh nashi pear—refreshing, aromatic, and subtly sweet.
Overall, a well-executed seasonal flavour capturing the gentle juiciness of nashi—worth repurchasing.
