This is the Koikeya Strong Nori Zanmai, containing three times the flavour seasoning of regular chips.
The chips were crinkle-cut, ranging from 3–7 cm in diameter and about 1.5 mm thick, with a golden-yellow hue generously coated in green, white, and red seasoning. They carried a fragrant aroma of roasted seaweed.
On tasting, the crinkle-cut surface offered a firm, satisfying crunch while holding ample seasoning in its grooves. Each bite opened with the aromatic umami of roasted nori, quickly building to a deep savoury richness accented by soy sauce and sesame oil that complemented the natural potato flavour. A gentle heat from the chilli flakes rounded out the finish, leaving a lingering roasted seaweed aftertaste.
Overall, an intensely flavoured, well-balanced snack that delivered bold umami and spice in equal measure—delicious and well worth repurchasing.
