This Starbucks Caramel Cinnamon Cookie Latte (tall for $5.50) replaced the Chestnut Swirl Latte as the seasonal menu item. According to Starbucks, ‘caramelly sweet sauce and fragrant cinnamon enhance the richness of our signature espresso, with a hint of warm spice in every sip. It’s then topped with whipped cream and cookie crumbles for that extra crunch.’
The coffee is an opaque medium brown colour with a sweet and spiced nose that strongly recalled speculoos. Both iced and hot, sweet and spiced cinnamon notes came through prominently at the head of each sip before the richer and lightly bitter notes of the espresso emerged in the body to combine in the finish to restrain the sweetness of the caramel and spice that leaves one in no doubt that this coffee is inspired by the speculoos. This is one enjoyable flavoured latte with a rich and full-bodied flavour.
