This Hatai Crushed Pear Juice is our favourite pear juice drink and contained 12% pear purée.
The juice is a translucent pale yellow colour with crushed pear sediment throughout and a sweet nose of ripe nashi pear. Served chilled, the fresh and crisp notes of the pear came through ahead of a gentle acidity and a honey sweetness in the body that builds in intensity into the finish to recall the rich, honey-like sweetness of nashi pears at peak ripeness. The crushed pear sediment is suspended throughout, though most of it is settled at the bottom. That doesn’t interfere with drinking the juice, though, as it flows with the liquid and provides pops of pear flavour and recalled the texture when eating the fresh fruit.
Overall, it reminds us of the Master Kong Rock Sugar Pear Juice, which is made from ya pears rather than nashi pears, with the additional texture from the pear purée.
