The drink was an opaque brown-black colour with a sweet artificial mango aroma and moderate carbonation. Served chilled, the tropical notes of mango came through with an enjoyable gentleness at the head before the sweetness builds in the body. While the flavour of the mango tastes natural initially, the lack of balancing acidity usually in cola and the lingering sweetness on the palate even after the usual palate-cleansing bubbles give an artificiality to the flavour and prevent the drink from having the usual refreshing qualities of cola.
