This is the Yeo’s Lychee Drink. It contained 2% lychee juice.
The beverage was clear and colourless with a sweet lychee aroma. When consumed chilled, the lychee flavour was prominent at the beginning of each sip, offering a fragrant floral sweetness. Mid-sip, a hint of fresh acidity emerged but quickly diminished along with the lychee notes, giving way to an intense sugary sweetness in the finish. Unfortunately, this sweet finish, likely derived from the sucralose artificial sweetener, lingered unpleasantly in the aftertaste. This change in taste seemed recent, as it was not something we recalled from our initial encounters with this beverage over a decade ago.
This Yeo’s Lychee Drink contained 250 mL. It was produced in Malaysia and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2024.
