This is the Guava Zen Zest ($9.30, +$1.00 for honey pearls, normal sweetness, less ice) from Tea Republic, featuring a jasmine green tea base infused with guava flavouring.
When consumed chilled, it had a vibrant, dewy quality from the jasmine that paired seamlessly with the fresh tropical character of guava. The restrained sweetness, even at normal level with less ice, kept the flavour balanced. The green tea base contributed a rounded body and emerged most clearly mid-sip, adding structure with minimal astringency. In the finish, the soft guava notes returned ahead of a clean, slightly grassy finish. As the drink itself did not include any toppings (unlike the pomelo flesh in the Pomelo Petal Splash), the addition of honey pearls provided much-neded chew and textural contrast.
Overall, it was enjoyable for its blend of fruit and tea, but lacked interest on its own.
