This is the Takara Craft Nakamade Aka~iringo Craft Chūhai. It features Aka~iringo apples from Goshogawara, Aomori Prefecture, renowned for their refreshing acidity and striking red flesh.

The beverage poured a translucent red-pink hue with a light berry aroma and moderate carbonation. Consumed chilled, it delivered a distinct apple flavour at the forefront, followed by floral berry undertones that emerged mid-sip. These gave way to a well-balanced, rounded sourness. Towards the finish, a moderate astringency appeared, accompanied by a fleeting hint of bitterness in the aftertaste from the alcohol. Overall, this chūhai successfully captured the unique flavour profile of red-fleshed apples while avoiding the mealy texture often found in the ripe fruit.
This Takara Craft Nakamade Aka~iringo Craft Chūhai contained 330 mL. It was produced in Japan and purchased in Hirosaki, Japan in 2024.
