Bundaberg Brewed Drinks makes a delicious range of soft drinks that D and I enjoy. For the longest time, I thought they were a subsidiary of the Bundaberg Distilling Company that’s famous for its rum. After all, the brands for both products are commonly shortened to just ‘Bundaberg’. It turns out, though, that they’re unrelated, independent companies that have just happened to include their location – 2 km apart – in Bundaberg, Queensland, as part of their brand name.
This here is the Bundaberg Distilling Company Tropics Mango & Passionfruit with Soda, a part of their Tropics lineup of ready-to-drink rum-based tropical fusions.

The drink is crystal clear with a tropical nose with floral notes that recall lychee. Served chilled, the carbonation brought an initial bitterness ahead of a mellow sweetness of mango in the head with the slightest zestiness of passionfruit. The flavour of both fruits is brief, with the mango dominating, before returning to a crisp and slightly bitter flavour by the end of the body and leaving no aftertaste. The drink is refreshing and easy to drink, but not very strong in flavour which leaves it wanting
This Bundaberg Distilling Company Tropics Mango & Passionfruit with Soda contained 330ml. It was bottled in Australi and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2017.
