The tea was a translucent golden-yellow colour with a gentle chrysanthemum aroma. Served chilled, crisp notes of chrysanthemum emerged at the head of each sip before developing a floral honey-like sweetness in the body. By the end of the sip, though, the chrysanthemum notes receded and honey-sweetness was replaced by a somewhat viscous sugar sweetness that became overwhelming and lingered long in the aftertaste. Overall, this beverage would be more enjoyable with a more restrained sweetness.
