When I satisfied my curiosity for kiwifruit nectar many years ago, it was most unpalatable. Almost a decade later, I’m trying this Daily Juice Apple Pear Kiwi & Lime in hopes of a better result.
It contained 70.7% apple juice, 20% pear juice, 9.2% kiwifruit juice and 1% lime juice.
The juice is a translucent green-yellow colour with a sweet apple and tart kiwifruit aroma. Served chilled, sweet notes of apple and pear came through with acidity developing in the body that recalled the zesty brightness of lime briefly before increasing to the mouth-puckering tartness of a kiwifruit just before optimal ripeness into the finish. The tartness is prominent, making it perfect when you’re after a non-caffeinated jolt to alertness.
Compared to the nectar, the addition of apple and pear juices cuts through the heaviness for a more palatable drink.
