This is the Asahi Mitsuya Yuzu Ginger. It combined domestically sourced yuzu juice with ginger syrup, and was released to coincide with Japan’s 2023-2024 winter season, boasting a day’s worth of vitamin C.

The beverage had a translucent light yellow hue, and emitted a sweet floral aroma of yuzu with a hint of ginger in the background, accompanied by a gentle carbonation.
Served chilled, the yuzu flavour immediately took the spotlight, offering a vibrant and sweet floral presence at the forefront of each sip that progressed mid-sip with a balancing touch of zesty acidity. The presence of ginger became more apparent in the finish. Still, rather than imparting a spicy warming intensity, it served as a subtle accent to the refreshing yuzu flavour, much to our delight. Overall, the beverage presented an impeccable yuzu flavour reminiscent of CAPI Yuzu Fruit Soda, albeit with weaker carbonation. Surprisingly, the inclusion of the subtle ginger accent in the finish was not unwelcome, adding an extra layer of complexity to the drink. It was an elegantly crafted yuzu soda, boasting impeccable balance of flavours.
This Asahi Mitsuya Yuzu Ginger contained 500 mL. It was produced in Japan and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2024.
