The coffee is a translucent deep brown-black colour with a dark roasted aroma. Prepared as a long black with a 1:1 water to espresso ratio, the flavour of strong roasted coffee came through ahead of pleasant malty notes that develop with a mellow fruity berry sweetness by the end of the body and leaves a rich cocoa finish and a lightly bitter but pleasant aftertaste. Overall, this intense, full-bodied coffee is one for those who enjoy strongly roasted coffees yet appreciate a hint of fruity acidity.
