This Starbucks by Nespresso Pike Place Roast is a tribute to Starbuck’s first store in Seattle’s Pike Place Market. With customers after a freshly brewed coffee that could be enjoyed throughout the day, it’s described as being ‘a smooth, well-rounded blend of Latin American coffees with subtly rich flavours of chocolate and toasted nuts [that’s] served fresh every day at a Starbucks store near you’.

The coffee is a medium roast with an intensity of 7 out of 13 and comes in a teal capsule with a dot in Starbuck’s signature green.

Prepared as a lungo, lightly acidic notes came through before a hint of bitterness developed with subtly rich cocoa notes ahead of a gentle bitterness that gave way to a toasted nuttiness in the finish. The coffee has a superbly smooth mouthfeel that leaves a surprisingly clean aftertaste while having the perfect balance between the notes of acidity and bitterness in the body.
This Starbucks by Nespresso Pike Place Roast contained 10 x 5.7 g capsules. It was produced in Switzerland and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2020.
