There are few things more comforting than a crisp day under the rich colours of autumn, the season for fresh apples, blueberries, figs and nashi pears. This here is Twinings Blueberry & Apple Infusion.

Infusing one tea bag in 200 mL of water at 90ºC for 3 minutes yields a translucent ruby red liquor with an acidic fruity nose. A crisp apple flavour came through briefly ahead of deep notes of plump blueberries in the body that are sweet with an acidity developing that reminds of crunchy green apples before a tart blueberry flavour lingered on the palate.
This tea was a pleasant surprise for a fruit infusion as many berry-based infusions from Twinings often have little complexity in its flavour past its initial acidity. The flavour and colour of the infusion are both bright, making it the perfect tea to tuck into on an overcast autumn afternoon.
This Twinings Blueberry & Apple Infusion contained 20 envelopes. It was packed in the United Kingdom and purchased in London, the United Kingdom in 2013.
