This is the Lupicia Rooibos Poire.

The dry leaf featured green rooibos scented with the aroma of La France pears, blended with dried orange peel and cornflower petals. Aroma opened with the sweet floral fragrance characteristic of La France pears.

Prepared by infusing 3 g of loose leaf in 200 mL of just boiled water for 3 minutes (any longer brought out bitterness from the orange peel), the infusion presented with a transparent orange hue. Aroma opened with soft floral pear notes supported by the earthy sweetness of green rooibos.
Initial contact delivered the soft floral sweetness of La France pears alongside a light-medium body. Through the mid-palate, the smooth character of green rooibos emerged, heightening the crisp sweetness of the pear while contributing a gentle earthy warmth. The liquor remained rounded and cohesive without obscuring the delicate fruit character. Towards the finish, the pear notes resolved into a soft floral earthiness accompanied by a notable mineral dryness and gentle astringency. Aftertaste carried lingering pear sweetness alongside the characteristic mineral quality of green rooibos. Equally enjoyable when prepared hot or served over ice, the tea’s restrained sweetness lends itself particularly well to refreshing preparations.
Overall, a caffeine-free green rooibos tea with a layered floral-fruit flavour progression and an integrated mouthfeel that balances delicate sweetness with gentle mineral dryness, resulting in a refreshing and well-calibrated expression of La France pear.
