Steeping 3 g in 200 mL of water at 85 ºC for three minutes produced a clear red-brown infusion with a sweet, fruity apple aroma. When consumed hot, the tea opened with soft apple notes, followed by a mellow sweetness that gradually gave way to a more assertive black tea character. Through the mid-palate, the fruit expression shifted towards a juicy apple flesh profile, supported by a subtle hint of astringency that added structure without roughness. The finish moved away from sweetness and towards crisper notes associated with apple skin rather than pulp. The body remained smooth and free from bitterness, though the aftertaste carried a faint, lingering astringency.
Overall, this presented as softly aromatic apple black tea with mild sweetness, light astringency, and a clean finish.
