This Kataoka Ying King Tea House Peach Oolong is the second flavour developed in collaboration after the mango tieguanyin.

The tea is in the form of an instant sachet.

Each sachet contained 8 g of granulated oolong flavoured with peach juice (0.5%)

Stirring one sachet with 150 mL of water iced or hot, the infusion was a cloudy golden straw colour with a sweet aroma of white peaches. Served hot, an initial sweetness developed swiftly with gently floral oolong notes and even sweeter notes of white peach against rather a rather harsh bitter background that came to prominence in the finish before a lingering bittersweet aftertaste. The bitterness seems to be a recurring theme in Kataoka’s instant sachets, including the mango tekkannon and the yuzu sencha.
This Kataoka Ying Kee Tea House Peach Oolong contained 5x 8 g sachets. It was produced in Japan and purchased in Ōsaka, Japan in 2014.
