This is the Morita Yuzusco Bukkake Tsuyu, a soup base for cold udon or soumen based on Morita Yuzusco, which is something akin to a Tabasco sauce made with green peppers and yuzu.
The sauce was ready to use from the package. Preparation involved preparing cooled udon or soumen, then drizzling the soup base over the noodles or dipping the noodles into the sauce.

The soup base had a sharp, zesty aroma much like the Yuzusco sauce itself. Eaten with the noodles, the sauce had a distinct savoury dashi flavour that was punctuated by the fresh zesty notes of the yuzu rind and developed with an enjoyable sweet acidity that recalled the juice of the fruit itself. The heat from the green peppers began gently and built to a sustained burn on the lips and mouth after a few bites. The sauce had incredible depth, with the dashi and yuzu flavours coming through despite the lingering heat. Each package had sufficient sauce for six 200 g serves of udon, with the noodles catching the sauce for a generous dose of flavour in each bite.
This Morita Yuzusco Bukkake Tsuyu contained 300 g. It was produced in Japan and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2021.
