This is the Ōmoriya Ryoshi Meshi no Moto. This furikake blend incorporated a mix of bonito shavings, roasted sesame, kelp, soy sauce, shrimp, dried sardine powder, sea lettuce, bonito powder, sardine shavings, mackerel powder, shiitake mushroom extract, fish bone powder, jaw powder, mirin, kombu powder, shrimp extract, sake, red pepper, mackerel shavings, ginger, and dried bonito extract.

The furikake boasted a vibrant mix of dark green, red, orange, and beige hues. When served on top of rice with soft-boiled eggs, it imparted a delightful umami-rich seafood flavour that was quintessentially Japanese. The seasoning granules dissolved, and the seaweed and various fish shavings softened, contributing flavour without altering the texture. Meanwhile, the tiny dried shrimps provided a crisp crunch while releasing a robust oceanic essence. The combination of soy sauce, sake and mirin with these diverse flavours of the sea amplified the richness of each component, making this a flavourful furikake worth considering for repurchase.
