This Arnott’s Mini Cakes Mint Slice is Arnott’s latest in a series that turns some of Australia’s favourite biscuits into non-biscuit snacks. The Mint Slice was last turned into ice cream and this time it’s cake. We love cake.
Each cake is composed of a mini dark chocolate cake dipped in more dark chocolate and filled with a mint cream made with the same mint oil as the original Mint Slice.
The cake has the same choc-mint aroma that we love from the original Mint Slice. Upon tasting, the dark chocolate breaks crisply before sinking into a chocolate cake that is soft and moist like a good mud cake. And just like in the original Mint Slice, the richness of the chocolate complements well with the strong mint flavour that here, comes from the two dollops of mint cream piped into the centre. We’re surprised that we enjoy these mini cakes as much as we do.
