This Arnott’s Tim Tam Slams Vanilla & Chewy Choc is the third of four flavours designed specifically for the cult ritual that is the Tim Tam Slam.
Each biscuit is 7 x 3 x 1.5 cm and composed of milk chocolate enrobing two milk chocolate biscuits that sandwich two strips of vanilla flavoured buttercream with a centre strip of chewy chocolate sauce.
This is one of the most mainstream of flavour combinations yet it’s one that works. The milk chocolate enrobing the biscuit gave a sweet creaminess that’s amplified and contrasted by the crunch of the chocolate biscuits and the chewy chocolate centre, while the vanilla buttercream adds moisture and provides some relief from the chocolate. This is not an adventurous flavour, but the varying types of textures and depths of chocolate flavour make it enjoyable.
