This the Glico Pocky Kuromitsu & Kinako pairs two ingredients central to Japanese sweets.
These Pocky consist of a brown coloured and kinako flavoured pretzel enrobed with beige coloured and kuromitsu flavoured chocolate. Each pretzel is 13 cm in length and about 7 mm in diameter.
These Pocky have a sweet and earthy aroma and on tasting, the kuromitsu came through with a deep sweetness — like molasses but clearer — that carried throughout the bite and is immensely enjoyable as the warmer, earthy notes of the kinako in the pretzel rounds out the finish and tempers the sweetness. These Pocky carry the flavour of warabi mochi but swap out of the typical softness for a very enjoyable crunch.
