Turtle, or ggobuk, chips are taking the Korean snack world by storm at the moment. They come in various flavours and this is the Orion Turtle Chips Chocolate Churro.

The chips get their name from the snack’s turtle shell shape. Each chip is around 2 x 2 x 1 cm in size and comprised of four grooved layers that are designed for even distribution of flavouring. With a sweet aroma of cinnamon doughnuts, these chips were somewhere between a crispy cinnamon doughnut and crunchy Milo breakfast cereal. The chips had an incredible lightness with the cinnamon notes being more muted on tasting, and the chocolate flavour dominating and dissolving to a slightly cloying richness. All in all, though, the richness of the flavour and the crunch make them addictive.
These Orion Turtle Chips Chocolate Churro contained 160 g. It was produced in South Korea and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2021.
