This is the Yutaka Shokai Miyazaki Yuzukoshou Ebi Senbei.
There were 14 individually sealed crackers in each box.
Each cracker measured approximately 5 cm in diameter and 3-5 mm in height, exuding an intensely vibrant yuzu aroma immediately upon unboxing. Upon tasting, the cracker displayed a delicate and sweet lightness reminiscent of crisp meringue. This, coupled with the pronounced yuzu flavour, collectively created an impression akin to that of a sweet yuzu biscuit. As each bite progressed to its latter half, the flavour of ebi unfolded, imparting a deep marine flavour and a subdued savoury note that tempered the initial sweetness to some extent. Towards the conclusion, the koshō element emerged, introducing a gentle warmth that lingered harmoniously with the yuzu in the aftertaste. On the whole, these crackers adeptly delivered their promised yuzu koshō flavour; however, the prevailing sweetness and crumbly texture left room for improvement.
This Yutaka Shokai Miyazaki Yuzukoshou Ebi Senbei contained 70 g (5 g x 14 pieces). It was produced in Japan and purchased in Tōkyō, Japan in 2023.
