This is the Nestlé KitKat 2 Ways Caramel Pretzel.

Each block contained 11 pretzel wafer fingers on a milk chocolate base, topped with sweet pretzel flavoured chocolate (left) and salty caramel pretzel flavoured chocolate (right). The block is 60% milk chocolate, 16% caramel pretzel flavoured chocolate and 24% pretzel wafer fingers.

The smell of the chocolate has a familiar nuttiness that reminds us of kinako, while the caramel notes on the salty caramel side came through creamy with a distinct dairy flavour and noticeable saltiness that’s accentuated by the natural savoury notes of the pretzel wafer. In comparison, the sweet chocolate side delivered a more prominent chocolate flavour that still retains the salty quality of the pretzel wafer, which brought a firmer and savoury crispness to the bar that is distinct from the flakier crispness of regular KitKat wafers. We enjoy the pretzel wafer but prefer the chocolate side for its better balance between sweet and savoury.
This Nestlé KitKat 2 Ways Caramel Pretzel contained 170 g. It was produced in Australia and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2020.
