We’ve been making our way through the different chocolate bars by Whittaker’s recently as D fondly recalled childhood memories spent enjoying them. This one here is the Whittaker’s Peanut Slab.
The bar is described as ‘a chunky single serve of original Peanut Slab recipe [with] super smooth 33% Creamy Milk Chocolate filled with a generous serving of crunchy roasted peanuts [35%]’.
The peanuts bring a delectably roasted nuttiness that holds it’s own and complementing the gentle sweetness of the chocolate. The peanuts are packed into every bite of the bar, making it more like a peanut brittle that swaps the toffee out for just enough chocolate to allow for the smooth creaminess of the milk chocolate to contrast well with its chunky crunch.
This Whittaker’s Peanut Slab contained 50 g. It was produced in New Zealand and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2018.
