Kanro Marosh Apple Cider

This is the Kanro Marosh Apple Cider, an apple soda-flavoured marshmallow confection containing apple juice.

The marshmallows presented in a water-drop shape, measuring approximately 3 × 2 × 1.5 cm, with a pastel yellow hue and a dry, rough exterior. Aroma was indistinct, with no discernible scent.

Initial contact delivered a soft sourness from the exterior crystals, which dissolved readily as the rough coating yielded to the bouncy marshmallow within. The interior combined the softness of a marshmallow with the elasticity of a gummy. Through the mid-palate, the dissolving sour crystals and release of apple flavour from the marshmallow built into an increasingly juicy apple profile. Towards the finish, the sourness receded, leaving sweet apple notes that lingered gently in the aftertaste.

Overall, an apple-flavoured marshmallow confection with a progression from initial sourness to juicy apple sweetness and a contrast between the rough crystalline coating and elastic, bouncy interior, resulting in a layered textural experience.

This Kanro Marosh Apple Cider contained 46 g. It was produced in Japan and purchased in Sydney, Australia, in 2026.
