This is the Nippon Yell Gummy Okinawa Pineapple, featuring juice made from pineapples grown in Okinawa Prefecture.

Each gummy was a slightly domed, opaque yellow disc measuring approximately 2 cm in diameter and 1 cm in height, with a sweet-tart pineapple aroma.
On tasting, the gummy exterior had a satisfyingly bouncy texture and delivered a mild pineapple flavour with gentle sweetness. As the chew progressed, a gradually intensifying juiciness emerged, leading to a soft acidity that complemented the fruit character. At the centre, the jelly core released a more concentrated, tropical sweetness reminiscent of pineapple at peak ripeness. The contrast between the subdued exterior and the richer core provided textural and flavour variation, though the outer layer functioned more as a vehicle to prolong the chew than to deliver a strong fruit note.
While the overall flavour was refreshingly sweet and sour, the pineapple lacked the vibrancy found in comparable products. Other pineapple gummies—such as those in the Kanro Puré Gumi, Meiji Kajū Gumi, and Okiko Uchina Gumi Guminchū ranges—offered more defined, aromatic profiles. Enjoyable, but not a standout, and unlikely to be selected over more expressive alternatives.
This Nippon Yell Gummy Okinawa Pineapple contained 40 g. It was produced in Japan and purchased in Tōkyō, Japan in 2025.
