These Nanna’s Indulgent Collection Mini Chocolate Cremes were released in November 2018 and marketed as a ‘premium’ range suited to entertaining at home. We picked these up in March after a lengthy period of being on sale when they were finally marked for clearance after spending just four months on supermarket shelves.

Each box contained 16 pieces consisting of a flaky pastry base topped with a chocolate creme and finished with Belgian chocolate curls. Sold frozen, the cremes are ready to serve after thawing in the refrigerator for 4 hours. We weren’t impressed by these cremes — the pastry was dense, without buttery flakiness of fresh pastry, while the chocolate cremes lacked texture and the rich and smooth creaminess of a truly indulgent chocolate. We’re not at all surprised that the supermarkets are eager to clear these from their freezer.
This Nanna’s Indulgent Collection Mini Chocolate Cremes contained 228 g or 16 pieces. It was produced in Australia and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2019.
