This is the Absolute Fruitz Freeze Dried Fruit Pineapple.
The pieces of freeze-dried pineapple varied in size from small 1 cm cubes to a quarter of a pineapple ring and were an off-white colour rather than the deep yellow of the fresh fruit. Upon tasting, the freeze-dried pieces were feather-light and crisp, releasing the tart and tangy flavour of fresh pineapple as it rehydrated on the tongue, yet its flavour was many times less intense than a freeze-dried raspberry. While 15 g may seem like a small quantity, it was sufficient to make the mouth tingly and numb. Regardless, though, we enjoy pineapple and we’re fans of it in its freeze-dried form.
