This is the DJ&A Freeze Dried Strawberries.
Each 100 g bag of DJ&A Freeze Dried Strawberries is made from approximately 600 g of fresh strawberries. The pieces retained a vibrant red hue, with most measuring around 4 cm in length and 3.5 cm in diameter.
On tasting, the strawberries were very firm to the touch, breaking with a satisfying crunch. They rehydrated quickly on the palate, delivering an intense strawberry flavour—naturally sweet with a bright, concentrated fruitiness and a well-balanced acidity. The experience was akin to eating crunchy pieces of real strawberry.
The texture of the rehydrated flesh was similar to purée and tended to stick to the teeth slightly while chewing, though it eventually dissolved cleanly as it hydrated further. The combination of crunch, flavour, and melt-in-the-mouth finish made this an enjoyable and highly snackable product—easy to consume the entire bag in one to two sittings. A well-executed and satisfying fruit snack.
