This is the seasonal Gotcha Bergamot Pomelo ($5.80, buy one get one free during June). The beverage was a clear yellow colour with orange and pomelo rind and flesh as well as a slice of lemon, and has a bright, sweet citrus aroma. Consumed hot, the flavour recalled a honey lemon tea with the added sharpness and brightness of pomelo — much like a grapefruit without the bitterness — along with a gentle acidity from the orange to balance the sweetness from the honey.

While I enjoy the beverage, I likely would not purchase it at full price without the promotion, simply because it’s a very basic beverage made from adding hot water to a marmalade from pomelo and honey.
