Our cider explorations saw us focusing on sweet ciders at one point. And the Dan Murphy’s cider guide recommended this 5 Seeds Bright Apple Cider as it uses Gala apples that are naturally sweet.

The cider is a transparent golden straw colour with a sweet apple nose and generous carbonation. Served chilled, crisp apple notes emerging smoothly in the head develop an intense natural sweetness in the body ahead of a fragrant and bright apple finish with the sweetness lingering on the palate.
Overall, this cider has the flavour of an apple juice with the slightest astringent kick in the finish. It has a similar flavour to the Thatchers Gold English Cider, but goes a step further and lacked the hint of acidity at the end of the sip that brought the refreshingly clean finish. Here, the sweet flavour of apples is almost too much. If served over ice, the sweetness would mellow and make for a refreshing cider packed with apple flavour.
This 5 Seeds Bright Apple Cider contained 330 ml. It was bottled in Australia and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2017.
