We picked up this Creative Chef Delicat Creations Chocolate Salted Caramel on clearance at our local supermarket. It’s a single portion dessert-in-a-cup.

This one has a salted caramel crumble base, a vanilla mousse centre and topped with a dark chocolate mousse.

The sticky salted caramel biscuit crumb at the base was the highlight of this dessert. While the caramel would’ve benefited from being saltier to cut through the sweetness of the mousses, the crumb added much needed textural relief from the smooth and creamy mousses that made up over 80% of the dessert. While there was nothing particularly wrong with the flavour, we’re glad we tried these on clearance as they’re hardly worth their price even now.

This Creative Chef Delicat Creations Chocolate Salted Caramel contained 50 g. It was produced in Belgium and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2018.
