This is the Fujiya x Nippon Yell Palettie Pione Tart, made with 1% juice from Pione grapes produced in Okayama Prefecture.

Each box contained eight individually sealed cookies.

Each cookie measured approximately 4.5 × 3.5 × 1.0 cm, with a golden-tan crust around enclosing a purple centre studded with white chocolate chips. The aroma was immediately recognisable as musky labrusca-style purple grape.
On tasting, the outer border delivered a crisp bite with a dense, fine shortbread crumb, providing clear contrast to the softer, moister grape centre. The grape flavour emerged at once, vivid and well defined, presenting as sweet, juicy, and richly grapey, supported by a light acidity that peaked mid-bite and prevented heaviness. The white chocolate chips contributed a smooth, creamy sweetness, adding depth and a gentle vanilla-like roundness through the finish, recalling the cream component of a traditional tart.
Overall, a well judged balance of texture and flavour, capturing the aromatic, sweet-tart character of Pione grapes in a dessert-like format.
This Fujiya x Nippon Yell Palettie Pione Tart contained 80 g (10 g x 8 pieces). It was produced in Japan and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2026.
