JA Foods Ōita Tsuburana Grape

This is the JA Foods Ōita Tsuburana Budō. It contained 10% purple grape juice from Ōita Prefecture and aloe flesh for the tsubu tsubu texture.

The drink appeared as a translucent red hue, speckled with semi-opaque aloe flesh evenly dispersed within it. It emitted a robust red grape aroma. Upon tasting, the flavour presented an initial sweetness followed by robust and full-bodied notes of red grapes, with their acidity becoming more pronounced as the initial sweetness receded. This acidity provided a refreshing effect upon the first sip. The restrained sweetness prevented the drink from becoming overly saccharine, which can be the case with grape juice from concentrate. The generous amount of aloe pieces added a pleasingly soft and slippery texture, enhancing the overall drinking experience without interfering with the grape flavour. While grape juice often serves as a natural sweetener in various fruit juices, this particular beverage stood out due to the depth and natural freshness of its grape flavour.

This JA Foods Ōita Tsuburana Budō contained 190 g. It was produced in Japan and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2023.
