This is the Kaneka Foods x JA Kumamoto Keizairen Watermelon Gumi. It used the juice from watermelons grown in Kumamoto Prefecture and contained 2.4 billion CFUs of labre lactic acid bacteria.

Each piece had a two-colour design reminiscent of watermelon, measuring approximately 2 cm in diameter and 1 cm in height, with the green portion occupying roughly two-thirds of the height. They emitted a sweet and crisp aroma akin to fresh watermelon. The green ‘skin’ component was aerated to achieve a fluffy marshmallow-like texture, which was surprisingly firmer and more resilient than the red ‘flesh’. The red part featured a soft and almost gooey jelly-like consistency, delivering a sweeter watermelon flavour reminiscent of freshly squeezed watermelon juice. In contrast, the green component contributed a more refreshing sweetness with a hint of acidity, complementing the overall taste. These watermelon gummies successfully captured the genuine taste of fresh fruit, providing a highly satisfying experience.
