This is the T2 Southern Sunrise.

The tisane is described as a blend of ‘white hibiscus, lemongrass and grapefruit’. It also contained apple, apple pomace and sweet blackberry leaves.

Steeping 2.5 g of loose leaf in 200 mL of just boiled water for 5 minutes, the infusion was a cloudy yellow beige colour with a zesty grapefruit aroma. Served chilled, a fragrant grapefruit flavour begins each sip with a gentle acidity that developed swiftly with the sweetness of the fruit’s juice. The sweetness — from the apples — dominates the latter half of the body before the grapefruit returns with a gentle zingy bitterness to reveal the slightly tongue-numbing effect of the oils in its rind.

The boldness of the grapefruit and the comparative mildness of the white hibiscus gave this tea a well restrained balanced between sweetness and acidity, making for an enjoyable refreshing beverage.

This T2 Southern Sunrise contained 100 g. It was packed in Poland and received as a gift from acquaintances in 2020.
